A few weeks ago the game board, “Map #1” was finalised. It’s a classic hex-grid consisting of 5 different types of terrain: fields, forest, hills, cities, and water. All the different hexes are painted by hand and then digitally combined into a coherent map.

The topography is varied, with part of the map covered mostly by fields and forests, while part of it is more hilly. The lakes and sea constitute natural barriers, that can be exploited by the player, and the hills offer good cover for defensive positions.
We have had some extensive playtesting on this map, with different player counts and different player styles. The map gives rise to some intriguing situations and a versatile set of strategical opportunities.

The crowd-funded version of the game will contain an additional map on the flip side of the board. More information about that to be announced soon. Follow and check back to stay up-to-date with the progress.
