There has been a slight update to the rules on page 14 about reinforcement tokens. An attacker who seizes an area is now rewarded with reinforcement tokens corresponding to 2x the terrain benefit of the seized area, whereas the defender doesn’t get any reinforcement tokens.
The defender can, however, prevent the attacker from receiving those reinforcement tokens, by retreating from the area without defending it. This gives the defender more incentive to avoid fights that they are unlikely to win, and rewards the attacker only if they need to use force and likely get losses.

This change will further reward active players who play offensively, while still giving some benefit to players who utilize their resources wisely. Overall this speeds up gameplay and provides more tactical options for the players.
